Operation

This Mobile Ultra-Filtration plant comprises a membrane, a suction-feed pump and the electrical control panel.

The Unit receives the waste emulsion from the customer's tank via the pump and suction lance. This pump processes the waste emulsion though the membrane with the result that the oil emulsion molecules are retained within the membrane and are continually re-circulated whilst the low molecular particles pass though it as permeate. The permeate passes to the foul drain for safe disposal. When the re-circulating waste emulsion becomes heavily concentrated, it forms a film on the surface of the membrane with the result that it reduces the flow of permeate though it. This signals that a cleaning cycle is necessary.

The cleaning cycle simply means that the detergent fluid has to be pumped though the membranes to remove this film. The suction-feed pump is used for this function which involves the operation of two valves to re-route circulation. When the oil concentration of the waste emulsion in the process tank reaches a level where the permeate rate falls immediately after cleaning the membrane, then it has to be pumped to an oil storage tank. Once again, the suction-feed pump is used for this operation and simple valve operation is required. The process tank can then be refilled with further waste emulsion. Also included will be all electrical controls, pipe work and control valves, and level switches.

Equipment comprises;

The framework of the unit comes complete with Suction feed pump and Ultra Filtration membrane.

It is almost totally constructed of stainless steel.

Pipework and valves to enable the correct flow + Level switches.

All electrical functions will be wired back to an electrical control panel which includes the pump start.
